Heavenly Father, We pray your protection over each of our police men and women. This has been a heart breaking week in our country and state. We have lost many police hero's. We pray over the following verses: Isaiah 54:17 for them that no weapon formed against them will prosper. Psalm 34:7 that your protecting angels will surround them. Deuteronomy 31 :6 that they will be strong, courageous and fearless. Ephesians 6:10 – 18 that they will be protected by the armor of God. James 1:5 that you will generously give them wisdom and discernment in every situation. We acknowledge Romans 13 that they are called to be your warriors/agents against the evil in this world. Please protect them Lord and stop the violence against them. WE ask this all in your son, Jesus's name as you have instructed us. AMEN

This week , we again have witnessed the disregard for the life of another law enforcement officer, a peace officer/peace maker. We lost a brother in blue in Richardson who responded to a caller in need. He was the first officer lost in our state this year 2018. We mourn with the wife and children. We mourn with the family members. We mourn with the Richardson Law Enforcement family. Our community mourns with theirs. We pray for strength for all. In times like these It seems like a good time to look into Gods word and let it speak directly to us. People may ask, what does the bible say to help us? Fact: These officers are ordained by God as agents of God to bring order (peace) to our world. Romans 13:1 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” Romans 13:4 “For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear t...

A great line in the 1980’s version of the Miracle on 34th St. is when the lady who is in charge of Santa at the Macy’s department store does not believe in Santa. Santa says: “ You don’t believe in me do you?” Her Line : “ I don’t believe there is any harm in not believing in something that many do acknowledge as fiction.” Santa’s reply: I am not just not a whimsical figure, who wears a charming suit with a jolly demeanor..I am a symbol of the human ability to be able to suppress the selfish and hateful tendencies that dominate the major part of our lives. St. Nicholas was actually a real person and was born about 70 years after Jesus's death, he was a symbol of hope who dedicated his life and his wealth to serving Jesus. Nicholas became a symbol of love and generosity. So, the picture of St. Nicholas with Jesus is a nice moving thought of reverence but not possible. Jesus was not a just a symbol or fiction. He was real and an example of Love, Hope and ...

Sorry If I am Deplorable I will never be perfect until I reach Heaven. Romans 3:23 says: For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Psalms 51 says: Create in me a pure heart o God and create a steadfast spirit with in me. Do not take your Holy Spirit from me. So we are saved by Gods Grace....every day or every time you ask for God to foregive you. That may be every day for me and some others. But there is the assurance that we can start over each day new if we choose to follow God's will to our best efforts and have place our faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. To be a Christian is not to be perfect but a lifestyle to pursue righteousness before God. May God bless you and keep you. May he keep you and your family safe.

Dallas Police Tragedy July 7, 2016 ——————————————————————————————————————————— Dallas, TX. We have witnessed another terrible and sickening event in law enforcement. We are hurt and angry, especially those of us who have been a brother in law enforcement. We don’t understand why these things happen. This is a time of mourning for those who gave their all. It is a time to pray for their families who have lost their loved one, father, son, brother, husband and leader of their home. It is a time to show compassion. We empathize with the involved first responders and try put ourselves in their place and relate to how they must feel. We cannot fully relate to their personal grief and stress. But our letters, emails, presence and support can make a difference. I am already hearing of citizens reaching out to their local police departments with food and notes because they understand we all are hurting for the loss of those who protect us. When we witness tragedies of lost...

I was once within milliseconds of drowning in white water. (That is another story). But as I was about to suck in water, something pulled me to the surface and I got a second chance. My only explanation as I spoke to god for help in that instant, he or an angel pulled me up by the back of my life vest. My vest could not keep me afloat over the strength of the currents. My wife witnessed the whole event standing on the bank of the river. God spared me for something else. This picture is the best depiction of how God saved me that day. Have you had a similar experience or feel God has given you another chance? God gives us a another chance everyday. Just by asking his forgiveness and accepting the grace of his son Jesus Christ, we can be saved from our shortcomings. Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. We either believe in a God or we don’t...
